Apply by June 7th to begin paid training before our July 29th bus operator class. Training lasts nine weeks, then you’ll be driving a bus!

Interview
If selected, we’ll learn more about you and what you want to do in your interview.

Contingent Job Offer and Permit
Once you pass the interview, expect a contingent job offer. Pass physical assessments. Obtain Commercial Learner’s Permit (Class B).
Step 5
Ride-Along
Between your start date and training class, you’ll have the opportunity to ride the bus to learn our routes.
Step 6
Training Class
During this nine-week class, instructors will teach how to be successful in your new role.

No experience necessary
You don’t need any experience other than driving a car for at least five years, and you must have a good driving record.
CDL
Unless you already have a Commercial Driver’s License, you’ll need to obtain your Commercial Learner’s Permit (Class B) from the Oregon DMV before training begins. We can help answer any questions you have.
Screenings
Applicants must pass a physical exam, a drug test and a criminal background check.
